Who do we share your personal information with?

When you purchase any television equipment, your details will be passed on to the TV Licensing Authority in accordance with the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1967.

  • Media: From time to time, we may release aggregated and anonymised marketing statistics to business partners, or may use these in press releases, advertising, or published reports. Where does LinQ Power store my personal information and how long for?

LinQ Power works across many countries, as a result, your personal information may be processed in countries outside of Europe, including countries where you may have fewer legal rights in respect of your information than you do under local law. We will take all of the relevant steps to ensure your information remains private.

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, and so this period will vary depending on your interactions with us. For example, where you have made a purchase with us, we will keep a record of your purchase for the period necessary for invoicing, tax and warranty purposes. Where we no longer have a need to keep your information, it will be removed from our system however a record will be held to ensure we don’t send you future correspondence.

What does LinQ Power do to protect my personal information? 

LinQ Power always aim to deliver the highest level of service and security to our customers on and offline and all of our communication is specifically designed with security in mind. In order to ensure the security and protection of your personal details whenever you submit any sensitive information such as credit card number and account details, we use the following security methods:

  • (SSL) encryption - the latest technology to encode and protect your data - which is your guarantee for a safe and secure transaction.

  • Sensitive credit card information is only transacted through Shopify and Klarna if selected or if you login and pay through a social provider such as Google, Amazon, Facebook or with Paypal. We do not get any details on your card information.

  • Your LinQ Power Online Account Information and LinQ Power Personal Profile are password-protected so that you and only you have access to this personal information. You may edit your LinQ Power Online Account Information by using your LinQ Power Online user name and password and by clicking on the Update My Details button on your home page navigation bar. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited email.

How does LinQ Power use my personal Information?

Unless you opted-out during your account registration and purchase, LinQ Power may send you emails, call or text you regarding LinQ Power products and services. In addition, we may occasionally send you direct mail about products that we feel may be of interest to you.

It is likely that some or all of these marketing messages may be tailored to you, based on what we know about you and/or your company, for example from your order history, your previous searches and browsing history.

In some cases, this may involve sharing your email address with the social network. Live Supporti system whether it's an offline message or active message with a company representative, you fully understand and agree that LinQ Power will collect and use this data to fulfil you the (customer) or (website guest's)  request. Live Supporti is a third party software used on the front display of our website. Data is captured to effectively communicate between LinQ Power and you (website guest) or (customer) and the data is transmitted in a trustworthy and secure environment. Live Supporti does not share any of its client's data, with any third party company. Data in the Live Supporti software is held and deleted every 14 days, this implies that data is held on a temporary basis.

You can view and edit your Personal Profile information at any time by clicking on the 'My Profile -Update Details' section in My Account, which you can access anytime through the link in the navigation bar.

      We offer the service for anyone to login or register through the LinQ Power website with the use of an application called social login. This means users can use their existing Facebook, Amazon and Google accounts to access all areas of the LinQ Power website. This also is a necessity so the site functions correctly when purchasing goods through the LinQ Power website.

      LinQ Power does not provide your data to any third party. We also ensure that all digital transmissions between services such as Facebook, Google or Amazon (through an API) is as secure as can and rely solely on the security from Shopify, Facebook, Google and Amazon to ensure your data is safe, we LinQ Power do not take any responsibility for any data breaches from these services if it were to happen, as we do not own or maintain the security of these services.

      By using Social login (Login to LinQ power website) through another service (Facebook, Google and Amazon) you agree that LinQ Power do not take any responsibility for these providers (as they are not affiliated with us) on how the data is processed, this is down to the Social login company and either Facebook / Google or Amazon.
